Need 2 Know
Stay Compliant with carb
The Importance of Carb Compliance
The California Air Resource Board (CARB) sets strict standards to reduce air pollution from heavy-duty vehicles. If your truck operates in California and weighs over 14,000 pounds you must meet these standards. Ignoring CARB requirements could lead to serious consequences, including DMV registration holds and significant fines. In 2024, vehicle owners need to ensure that all annual compliance fees for 2023 and 2024 are paid, and any outstanding violations are resolved. Failure to meet these requirements may result in registration holds, potentially leaving your fleet stranded and causing costly delays.

What is changing in 2025?
From 2025 onward, CARB will require semi-annual emissions test for heavy-duty vehicles operating on California roads. This legislation covers diesel motorhomes registered in California, as well as commercial trucks weighing over 14,000 pounds, regardless of whether they are registered in the state or elsewhere.

This chart is based on the most current information available from the CARB website and is subject to change. The projection do not guaranteed exact test dates, as CARB may request sooner or adjust deadline. For the most accurate information, please visit the CARB website or contact them directly.
